Welcome to the final Headteacher’s blog of the year and I hope you all have a great summer period. School finishes at 12.05 this Friday and will re-open for students on Tuesday, 5th September. Please look at the end of term letter to check what time your child needs to come into school. A big reminder to everyone that the post-16 results day is on Thursday 17th August whilst the GCSE results day is Thursday 24th August. Good luck to all our students expecting examination results this summer.

This week sees the school production of Kes the famous novel set in Barnsley and written by Barry Hines. The production starts at 7pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening and is being performed in the round by the students. I am sure, as ever, that this will be a fantastic event. Please try to come if you can. Tickets are available from the Drama department in school.

Finally, in Year 7 rounder’s, the girls played really well at Morley Academy, they won two matches and lost two matches, resulting in 3rd place overall. Well done to everyone involved.
