Academic Support Mentor

Academic Support Mentor [full-time/permanent / TTO + 5]

Salary scale – C1 (£22,724.00 - £24,745.00 per annum)

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Academic Support Mentor to work with our students who have special educational needs, working with them in small groups and one-to-one inside and outside of the classroom. You will work under the Lead SENDCO and SENDCO and will establish and maintain a calm, productive and meaningful learning environment by working collaboratively with teachers.

We are interested in applications from candidates with experience of working within a secondary school, with an understanding of teaching and learning process and a knowledge of young people’s educational, wellbeing and support needs. Salary scales for Guiseley School are part of Leeds City Council’s NJC PayScale’s. Salary information detailed is pro-rated to reflect the ‘take home’ pay for the successful candidate.
