GCSE Results Day 2025

Published 21/08/2025

Guiseley School was awash with excitement and some nerves today as students received their GCSE exam results. Many students, families and staff celebrated together after opening ‘the envelope’ and enjoyed the special occasion.

Headteacher, Paul Clayton said: “We are very proud of all our Year 11 students. They are a such a positive and determined cohort who have really supported each other as they have faced the challenges of their GCSE years. We are as proud of the way they have approached those challenges as we are of the exam successes they have achieved today. Everything they have learned about how to make the most of their potential will really support them in their next steps - whether it is here with us at Sixth Form or in the apprenticeships and college places they will be going on to. We wish all our students the very best for the future.”

Several students achieved a set of straight 7-9 grades, including Eliza Salmon, who said: “It’s been such a long summer, and I’m really looking forward to joining Guiseley School’s Sixth Form in September. The subject I’m most looking forward to studying is History.”

Ekpreet Singh, another high achiever, said: “I’m really happy with my results. It’s still up in the air what my next steps will be, but I feel prepared to take on the challenge. I know what I want to do, but right now I’m just figuring out where. I want to give a massive thank you to all my teachers.”

Abby Clay, who performed very well this year, told us: “I’m so thankful to all the teachers that supported me throughout my time here at Guiseley. I wouldn’t have got my grades without my school’s care and support.”

Many students are now looking forward to accepting places at Sixth Form and college and are excited to continue their studies, having secured a really positive set of results.
