Last Friday, Guiseley School drama students participated in a Shakespeare Schools workshop held in the school auditorium.
The session began with students leading activities focused on performance skills and character development. These exercises were designed to help the group explore the practical elements of acting and understanding Shakespearean roles.
Rehearsals for Leeds Playhouse
The second half of the workshop was dedicated to rehearsing scenes from Antony and Cleopatra. Students worked directly with the workshop facilitator to refine their performance of the play, which they are scheduled to perform at the Leeds Playhouse in March.
The workshop provided the cast with an opportunity to develop their scenes in a professional rehearsal setting. The department will continue to build on this work as they prepare for the upcoming production in Leeds.
