Guiseley School Student Obtains Orienteering Achievement

This weekend, Alethea C proudly represented the Yorkshire and Humberside squad at the Junior Inter-Regional Orienteering Championships - one of the UK’s largest junior squad competitions. Selected as a reserve in the W14 class (girls up to 14), Alethea competed a year younger than most of her peers, yet delivered an outstanding performance in the Lake District.

Despite the age gap, she secured an impressive 6th place individually and triumphed in the ad-hoc relay, finishing 1st. Alethea returned home beaming with pride, sharing how much she enjoyed the challenge and camaraderie of the event. Alethea has encapsulated exactly what Guiseley School would like to instil in our students: resilience, determination and the willingness to work hard to succeed. Congratulations on your achievement, we cannot wait to see what you will do in the future.

We’re also thrilled to see Alethea thriving at Guiseley School - her enthusiasm and grit continue to inspire!
