We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of three of our Year 8 students - Charlie A, Alethea C, and Penny P - who represented our school and the local club Airienteers at the British Long Distance Orienteering Championships in South Wales last weekend.
Competing against the best young navigators in the country, our students showed remarkable skill and endurance across a challenging weekend of competition.
Relay Success
While the long-distance races tested their individual stamina, it was during the Sunday Relays that our students truly shone on the national stage:
- Charlie A secured a fantastic Gold Medal as part of the winning Junior Ad Hoc team.
- Alethea C earned a brilliant Silver Medal, competing as the youngest member of the Junior Women’s team.
- Penny P delivered a strong performance, contributing to the club's overall success in a highly competitive field.
It’s wonderful to see our students excelling in such a demanding sport that combines physical fitness with sharp mental navigation.
All three athletes are reportedly already back in training and looking forward to their next major competition. Please join us in congratulating them on these outstanding results!
