Guiseley School's 2023 GCSE and A Level Results

GCSE RESULTS 2023

GUISELEY School students are receiving their GCSE results today, and are celebrating a very successful exam series. The results saw the largest percentage of grades at 9-7 achieved by students at the school in an exam season.

The Headteacher, Mr Paul Clayton, was full of praise for their achievement, “No-one should have been through what these students have been through in terms of their disrupted education. To then achieve what they have today is a remarkable testament to their resilience, attitude and character." he said. "We are so proud of every one of them and wish them every success in their next steps.”

Amongst these students, Caitlin Child achieved nine grades at Grade 9. Zayn Bye received five grades at Grade 9, three 8s and a 7. Many more received majority Grade 9s and 8s.

Guiseley School students will now be preparing for their next steps with the majority returning to the school's Sixth Form, whilst others have secured college places and apprenticeships across the city.

A LEVEL RESULTS

Year 13 students receiving their A Level and Vocational results at Guiseley School on the 17th August 2023 celebrated a successful exam series and preparing for their next steps at University, College and Degree level Apprenticeships.

The Headteacher, Mr Clayton, congratulated the students and wished them all the best in their next steps saying, “These young people are amongst those most impacted by the turbulence of the previous 3 years in education and have shown themselves to be remarkably resilient. We are so proud of their achievements this year and their examination success. A huge majority have received the grades required to accept their offers at university, college or apprenticeships and they can look forward to their next steps, whatever they are with confidence and pride.

We wish them all the very best for their exciting next steps.”

Amongst a strong set of exam results were some particularly impressive achievements from Tara Delaney, Daisy Jones, Bobby Mao, Megan Richmond, Annabelle Pollard, James Wilman, Theo Cowen, Joshua Crampton, Aaliyah Little and Jamie Locke.

Guiseley School students will now be preparing for those next steps with many having secured places at prestigious universities such as Edinburgh, Durham, York, Manchester, Newcastle, Lancaster and Leeds.
