History & Art Trip: Paris and Versailles 2026

From March 13th to 16th, our History, Politics and Art departments joined forces for an unforgettable educational expedition to the heart of France. For four days they explored the streets and monuments of Paris and Versailles. Their itinerary was packed:

  • A full day was dedicated to exploring the Palace of Versailles. Students marvelled at the Hall of Mirrors and the expansive gardens while deepening their understanding of the French Revolution at the very site where monarchy met its turning point.
  • Our sixth formers also paid a visit to Les Invalides, home to Napoleon’s Tomb, offering Politics and History students a tangible link to one of Europe’s most influential leaders.
  • Then, to soak in the city’s iconic architecture and artistic heritage, the group enjoyed a scenic river tour along the Seine, providing a unique vantage point of the capital’s landmarks.

By all accounts, the trip was a resounding success. Staff reported that everyone had a brilliant time, returning to Guiseley with fresh inspiration for their sketches, essays, and political debates.
