Governance

The job of the governing body is to check that the Headteacher is setting and meeting ambitious targets for both the staff and pupils and doing it within budget.

When a vacancy for a parent governor comes up, we contact all parents/carers so that people can put themselves forward. Then parents/carers vote on their preferred candidate. If you’re not a parent/carer but would like to be a school governor, then please contact the Leeds Governors’ Support Service.

Letters for the attention of the Governors should be marked as confidential and can be sent to Sharon Thandi, Chair of the Governing Body, C/O Guiseley School, Fieldhead Road, Guiseley LS20 8DT or you can email [email protected].

Minutes of Governor meetings are available from the school on request. Please email [email protected].
