The Creative iMedia GCSE introduces students to the dynamic world of digital media and design. It is assessed through three key components: Creative iMedia in the Media Industry, Interactive Digital Media, and Visual Identity and Digital Graphics. This course provides practical skills and creative knowledge essential for the digital media industry. 

The course is divided into three key units that provide a broad and practical understanding of digital media production: 

Unit R093: Creative iMedia in the Media Industry (Exam) 

This mandatory unit introduces you to the media industry, covering areas like media products, target audiences, legal and ethical considerations, and the pre-production process. 

This unit is completed in Year 11. 

Unit R094: Visual Identity and Digital Graphics (Non-Examined Assessment – NEA) 

You'll learn to create digital graphics and develop visual branding for clients. This involves using industry-standard software to produce logos, layouts, and other graphic assets. 

This unit is typically completed in Year 10. 

Unit R097: Interactive Digital Media (Non-Examined Assessment – NEA) 

This unit focuses on planning and creating interactive digital products, such as websites or mobile interfaces. You'll learn about user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles. 

This unit is typically completed in Year 11.
